Valentines weekend

I don't really get why single girls hate Valentines day. Ok ok, fine, really I do, but when I was single, I loved Valentines day. It's an excuse to eat chocolates, watch chick flicks, and buy whatever you want for yourself as a "Valentines day gift" to me. In fact, when I finally had a boyfriend on Valentines day for the first time (with The Boyfriend) my initial reaction was, oh crap, I have to buy a gift for someone other than myself.

So, this Valentine's is the 5th V-day we've had together. Except The Boyfriend decided to go to his cousin's 21st birthday party this weekend. . . . in Vegas. Which means I'm all alone on this Valentines weekend. . . . . .

PAR-TAY!!!!!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

(don't worry, the Boyfriend and I are still doing V-day. Just on ACTUAL V-day instead of the weekend before. Crazy, I know)

Cabin Fever

So, apparently I live in Canada. . . . NOT TEXAS!!!

Of course, the hilarious thing is that the news is more worried about how the super rich and/or famous out-of-towners will think of Dallas due to the Super Bowl being in town this week. . . . uhm. . . how 'bout you worry about how the super rich and/or famous out-of-towners WON'T run us Dallasites off the roads! We don't know how to drive on ice!
NO FOOTPRINTS!!! BECAUSE IT'S A GIANT SLAB OF ICE!

So, yesterday was the first day of Ice-ageddon, and originally I wasn't going to go into work because of this:
But then my boss guilted me into THINKING ABOUT going into the office. . . so I started to get ready, until I saw this:
Just for further illustration, here's The Boyfriend, sliding down the driveway to Bad Kids from the Black Lips

Of course, that video was taken right before he shoveled the driveway, so I will have to go into the office tomorrow, even though temperatures aren't supposed to be above freezing.

Oh well. After 2 days of being stuck inside, I'll go anywhere, even work!

Some excuses as to why I'm not blogging as much as I would like. . . .

REASON NUMBER ONE: Because I'm naturally a messy person and The Boyfriend is an anal neat freak!!
Reason Number 2: Moving into the Boyfriend's house: About 75% done. . .
Reason number 3: Cleaning out closet so my stuff FITS in the Boyfriend's house-90% done, if only I could STOP SHOPPING, I'd be done:
All the stuff I'm giving away. :(

Organized all my shoes. I didn't realize I had so many. . . .

Reason number 4: This pile of work refuses to go down. . . . It looks so much smaller in photos than in person.
AND. . . . . yeah, that's my life right now. Cleaning/packing/moving/unpacking/organizing/working. BLECH.

What I was planning on wearing on New Years Eve:
Tuxedo Blazer: Martin & Osa
Dress: Kensie
Bangles: Target
Earrings: Forever 21
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell (I admit, I saw them on Kendi Everyday and had to have them. . . . so I bought them)

What I ended up wearing on New Years Eve:
Turtleneck: Club Monaco
Same Dress as above
Same Shoes as above
Earrings from college
Glasses from costume store bought many Halloweens ago

AND
Matching nails, of course.

(If you couldn't tell, we went to a themed NYE party. Theme: Studio 54)

Proof that when I go home, I do actually do stuff with my siblings

As a follow up to our last blog, I'm providing proof that my brothers and I don't just mope around at home when I go home and visit family.

We also eat!

My brothers hate getting their pictures taken.
I'm really surprised we're not a heavier family. . . . I guess it IS fro yo.

Sibling Time

I had been wanting to be good this Christmas season and blog while I had the time (i.e. was bored at the parents' house). Unfortunately since I'm a lazy bum, I didn't do anything blog-worthy. Not even on Christmas Eve. Sad, I know.

So I was just going to let another unblogged day pass by. Until. . . . .

I found these pics my baby brother took of me and my other bro.

Starting tomorrow I may jump rope or something. Or at least change out of my PJs.

Birthday post

The 22nd was my 27th birthday. While it sucks having a birthday so close to Christmas, it's nice to take a day off work just because it's my birthday, and have all of your coworkers think you're actually taking off to see family. (Pah!)

Some things I did:
Received birthday cards from boyfriend's family:

Received birthday card from Boyfriend. . . . :/
Made cake balls for Christmas presents

 Finished wrapping Christmas presents
Made breakfast for lunch
Had a birthday dinner with the cutest family ever
Received gifts from great friends:
Flowers from Super Cute Family
I casually mentioned to my friend one day that I've been meaning to buy some Buddhism books, since my 90% of my family are Buddhists and I don't really know that much about the religion. Lo and behold, my friend gets me Buddhism books for Christmas! Aren't my friends awesome/ironic.
Super excited about my DVF luggage

And finally. . . . . ate birthday cake with the fam

Pretty much the most productive birthday ever.
