Classy black cocktail dress

Every girl should have at least 2 black cocktail dresses. One should be a fun going out with the girl type cocktail dress (think: a fun cocktail dress for cocktails). The other should be a conservative, yet stylish dress (think: a cocktail dress you wouldn't mind wearing in front of the queen, but still stylish enough to maybe catch one of the Prince's eye. OK, I'm corny, I know.)

The latter dress is usually harder to find than the first dress. A lot of cocktail dresses are usually really schmoozy or look like they belong to an 80 year old woman. OR they're $500.

That's why I got so excited when I found this dress on Etsy for $35. Yes, it's a vintage dress from the 80s, but I think it's pretty timeless, don't you?

hmmmm. . . .

So, I've signed up for Rue La La (an invitation only discounted shopping website), and so far I'm pretty happy with it. I've already bought a dress from that site and can't WAIT for it to arrive. However, today I saw something that made me wonder. . . .

Rue La La is featuring Free People today, so of course I was all over that. However, I saw something similar that they were selling for $59. . . .

Look familiar? No? Read my previous post.

Rue La La is selling the same blazer featured on my previous post. . . . but for almost $10 more!

Hmmm. . . . .

Who says "Business Casual" has to be boring and stuffy even in Spring?

Where: Work, then class, then in the rain

I was probably talking to my mother there. . . .

Realistic poses for the REAL city gal. 'Cause in real life, the streets aren't our personal runway.

Thanks for reading! See ya next time!!
