Just have to brag for a second.

9:45 AM - 5:45 AM - Work (yes, I know, I get to work late :/)
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM - Work Out at boot camp
7:45 PM - Fill up my tank with gas
8 PM - 8:20 PM - Surprise phone call from good friend/made grocery list
8:30 PM - 10 PM - Dinner/grocery run at nearby Korean grocery store
10:20 PM - 12 AM - Worked from home (overtime)
12 AM -12:15 AM - Emailed potential new network acquaintance (recommendation from friend)

Unfortunately, the above doesn't include shower after workout. . . . that's because I still haven't taken one. Stinky. :P

Happy Chinese new years!

Even if you have no affiliation with anything Chinese, have a happy lunar year! Eat lots of egg rolls.

When you have one of those days

Day after working out for the first time in 3 weeks + Crazy day at work = really sore and frustrating day

Good thing I decided to wear hot pink shoes today. Fun shoes may not totally cure a bad day, but they definitely don't hurt!

fun shoes + fun photo effects (shoes by Material Girl)

When the boy is away. . . .

The Boyfriend is out of town for a few days to visit his family, which means I can turn on all the lights in the house and have conversations to myself, I can watch all the girly/trashy tv shows I want, and I don't have to listen to anyone calling me a lush when I polish off a bottle of wine by myself. Score!!

*For the record, I love The Boyfriend, but it's nice when he's away for a few days. I feel like we're becoming one of those annoying couples that wear matching sweaters and can finish each other's sentences.

An entire bag of "gourmet" chicken Parmesan that I don't have to share + bucket o' wine

Dessert!!!

Resolutions

Here are my new years resolutions for 2012:
1. Seek out new challenges and attempt them.
2. Continue to lose weight (15 pounds so far!)
3. Blog more. :P
4. Shop less
5. Organize my closets
6. Redecorate the office so that it's more functional
7. Read more, watch less TV
8. Instead of Facebook stalking my friends, do more things with my friends worth posting on Facebook
9. Continue working out regularly
10. Cook more (healthy meals, of course)

I know it's only day 2 of the new year but so far I'm on track, except with shopping. Can I help it if my mom INSISTED on buying me a new purse?

Anybody make resolutions they intend to stick to?

Do all couples fight about closet space, or is it just us?

Disclaimer: I really like clothes. And shoes. And all types of accessories. I get it from my mother. My mother is not your typical mother who has absolutely no fashion sense. My mother knows how to dress herself. She's passed down the shopping gene to me AND my 2 brothers as well.  I didn't realize this until I took them out shopping around the holidays for clothes and I dropped over $300, 90% of it on them. They can easily outshop me, which is a terrifying thought.

Anyway, I always thought I'd go for a guy who was well dressed, but sparingly so. I.E. he looked good in what he wore, but he only had maybe 5 shirts, 5 sweaters, 5 pairs of slacks/jeans, 2 suits, and 3 pairs of shoes (black dress, brown dress, and some sneaks). I THOUGHT I'd gotten that in The Boyfriend. He's totally a guy's guy. Almost cliche how much of a guy's guy he is. He loves all things sports, and can watch sports from dawn til dusk, all year long. He also likes to fix things himself, he likes beer, hates my indie pop music, etc.

Turns out he's not as much of a guy's guy as I thought. . . .

So, I wanted to get my clothes in some sort of organized state before the new year. Since it's New Years Eve, that means I have a only a few hours to get this done (good luck). Unfortunately I found most of my folded shirts were in a miserable wrinkled state due to lack of space, and my sweaters were getting torn up since they rubbed up against the drawers since I had to jam them all into 2 drawers, again due to space.

"Argh!" I shouted to The Boyfriend. Why do I hardly have any space for my clothes?!

His response? "Because you have too many clothes."

To be fair, his response is probably true, however as I was stuffing a jacket into the coat closet, I realized that he actually had more coats in the closet than I do (and we live in Texas where it's hardly cold). So I proceded to take inventory of both of our clothing spaces and compare them side by side.

Shockingly, it is split pretty much 50/50. Which means if I have too many clothes, that means he does too.

Who knew I would end up with a closeted (pun intended) clothing whore like me? If we have kids, they might have to sleep in the closets while we convert their rooms into giant walk ins.

New years resolution as a couple. . . . organize the closets!!!!

This will cut into my TV time!

My family and friends must think I'm more creative/intellectual than I really am. I got a bunch of books over the holidays.
The Boyfriend's father is already asking me if I've devoured Steve Jobs biography. . . . Sadly I have yet to crack it open.
Actually, I take that back. My baby brother got me what looks like a trashy romance novel I can read whilst in the tub. He knows me pretty well.
